INSURANCE INFORMATION
At Washington Endodontics we make every effort to provide you with the finest care and the most convenient financial options. To accomplish this we work hand-in-hand with you to maximize your insurance reimbursement for covered procedures.
Washington Endodontics is a participating provider with the following dental insurance companies:
If you have an insurance policy with a carrier not listed above, Washington Endodontics will be considered an out-of-network provider. “Out-of-Network,” however, does not mean a patient will have no coverage at all; in fact, most insurance carriers still cover their subscribers if the patient decides to go with a non-participating provider. In most cases, going out-of-network means a slightly higher out of pocket expense on the patient’s part. If you have any questions regarding your insurance, our office staff is always available to address any concerns you may have in regards to your endodontic coverage. We do, however, strongly urge you to call your insurance carrier for the details of your individual policy considering most insurance carriers are more likely to give out more detailed information to their subscribers.
Dental insurance policies can be confusing, and dental work can be a fairly heavy burden financially. Therefore, we understand most of our patients would like an idea of what their out-of-pocket costs will be; you are always welcome to call our office at any time before you schedule an appointment to request an estimated out-of-pocket quote. At the time of your office visit, we will ask you to make an “initial payment” –this is what our office estimates your insurance will not cover for you. We will submit the insurance claim for you when your treatment with us is finished. After your insurance carrier has processed the claim and sent us to pay for what they cover, we will contact you if there are any other issues with your account.
Insurance companies can take up to 2-4 weeks to process claims. After our office hears back from your insurance company it may take an additional 1-2 weeks to process payment and send out bills/overpayment checks. In most cases, insurance companies will send out an explanation of benefits (EOB) to their subscribers before they send one out to the provider. We ask you to be patient with us considering our office will probably not hear back from your insurance company until up to a week after you have received your EOB. You are, as always, welcome to call our office for a status update.
